OUR STORY

Oregon Kosher’s first project was ensuring that the local communities of Portland and Eugene had options for kosher food. As the availability for kosher foods grew, through the introduction of Kosher programs in Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Trader Joes, the directors of Oregon Kosher took on more of a role in supporting the community through education and building important relationships in the field of Kosher around the world. Oregon Kosher has grown to become a full service regional Kosher agency with a reputation for Kosher expertise in both the retail and industrial field. Oregon Kosher certifies retail and industrial clients across the Pacific Northwest and the neighboring states. Universally, Oregon Kosher is accepted by all kosher certification agencies and is a member of AKO (Association of Kashrut Organizations). The Oregon Kosher symbol can be found on national and global brands and it’s symbol is immediately recognized and trusted by consumers.

Testimonials

“McTavish Shortbread has worked with Oregon Kosher since 2012. They made the transition to become Kosher smooth and easy to understand. I have had the pleasure of working with Oregon Kosher from the beginning of my time at McTavish Shortbread Co. I have appreciated the consistent, thorough approach to the process of ensuring that we are producing a kosher product. The inspections are always combined with an opportunity to educate. Whenever we’ve had questions or concerns about product, ingredients, or equipment, Oregon Kosher has been very quick to respond and to offer solutions and explanations of the best possible way forward. We are proud to be able to designate our products as kosher and look forward to continued relationship with Oregon Kosher.”

“We have worked with Oregon Kosher for several years now and they have always been communicative and flexible with scheduling.  When we first decided to make our Blue Plum Brandy and Cherry Brandy Kosher for Passover, Tuvia came in and was given a through overview of our processes. He then presented us with a plan to start making our products Kosher for Passover.  We discussed the best plan to stay within the Kosher for Passover guidelines and maintain the high quality of our products.  They have been able to accommodate us on short notice, so we could bottle product that we needed to fill an order.  We have had a great working relationship with Oregon Kosher and plan to continue business with them for years to come.”

“I have worked with Oregon Kosher for the past 7 years and have great respect for the staff. They understand the real meaning of “customer Service” and there has never been a time in the seven years where they let me down. Sometimes difficult situations occur, as they will when dealing with Kosher issues, but we have always worked the problem through to everyone’s satisfaction. Our making of kosher wines would be much more difficult without such a great team.”
